Hi there!

I’m Kiara. Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m a communications professional and creative storyteller who calls Chicago home. In all of my work I’m passionate about courageously pursuing creativity and amplifying the voices of the marginalized and misunderstood.

My friends call me a foodie because I’m always on the hunt for the next delicious dining experience. But gathering around the table and connecting with friends over a good meal is half the fun. Experiencing new places and unfamiliar cultures also makes my heart sing. I have a wanderlust spirit, so if I’m not traveling you can bet I’m planning my next big adventure.

At the root of all of my passions, though, are stories. Discovering what makes someone who they are and how they have been uniquely woven together is the greatest gift.

In 2014, I packed up and moved from my hometown in Arkansas to Chicago. It was the pursuit of a dream and a crazy leap of faith that God has done big things with. That move was the beginning of my pursuit of a full and fearless life. It’s not always been easy, and it definitely has not been perfect, but it continues to be worth it.

I hope you’ll stick around and join me on this wild, joy-filled journey.

Thank you for your inspiring words and sense of adventure. After some difficult times I began to think that dreams and adventure were foolish, but I am slowly moving past that. Your words of encouragement to pursue dreams are both comforting and motivating. Thank you!

    1. Hi Jessica,
Thanks for sharing! I’m so glad to hear you’ve found some encouragement here. It can easy for us to feel foolish for dreaming when difficult times come. But if you have a sense of adventure that’s a beautiful part of who you are – don’t lose that! Keep holding on. Much love!
